RENOWNED 2008 LEGACY LIVES CONFERENCE

1 min read

Bridgetown, Barbados, 01/09/2008 – CaribVision is onboard as a “Media Partner” of the second annual Legacy Lives 2008 Conference aimed at bringing together leading international decision makers involved in the staging of major sports and cultural events on January 28 – 30 at The Hilton Barbados.

Legacy Lives 2008, first executed last year in London, will attract a number of delegates from across the globe and features keynote speakers from leading sports councils and organisations including the International Olympic Committee, FIFA, and the Commonwealth Games Federation.

The CMC, now gearing up for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and as a broadcast rights holder for a number of other sporting events, supports the conference’s overall vision and goals, which include economic development, sports participation, and most importantly raising the profile of your country.

“We seized the opportunity to align CaribVision – the eyes & ears of the Caribbean with the event because the CMC especially believes in raising the profile of the Caribbean and projecting a positive image of the region onto the world stage,” says Errol Clarke, CMC’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Through our broadcast rights to high profile sporting events and our brands, especially CaribVision, we are able to demonstrate that the Caribbean also has the ability to do what our international counterparts are doing within the sports and broadcast arena.”
