PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Oct 28, CMC – Police are investigating the deaths of the owner of a spa and a customer after they were shot by a suspect, clad in a blue coverall, who had entered the premises in Central Trinidad with a firearm.
They have been 55-year-old Kavita Deosarine, the owner of SOHO Beauty Heaven and Cheryl Dickson, 64, of La Croix Street, Couva.
Media reports said that around mid-morning the suspect approached Dickson and asked her about the vehicle she was driving before shooting her twice. He then went into a room, where he confronted Deosarine. Seconds later, two gunshots were heard.
The suspect then fled the scene.
Several other businesses operate in the plaza, including a special school for children. No one else was reported injured.
