Asa Tribe will miss out on England Lions' tour of the Caribbean.

BASSETERRE, St Kitts, Nov 3, CMC – Top order batter Asa Tribe will miss England Lions’ ongoing white-ball tour of the Caribbean after recently travelling to Kenya.

The 22-year-old, who plays for Glamorgan, was due to join the Lions for a series of T20 and One Day matches against West Indies A, but concerns over an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Kenya led to Tribe not being admitted to Saint Kitts & Nevis, which is hosting all the games.

“Saint Kitts & Nevis currently have a 21-day non-entry rule in place for non-nationals who have been in Kenya due to the Ebola situation in Kenya and seven other countries in Africa,” a spokesperson for the England and Wales Cricket Board told BBC Sport Wales.

“Asa is back in the UK, and we are in touch with the relevant authorities.”

The talented right-handed batter has a healthy average of 57.55 in 34 List A matches and 41.30 in 32 first class matches.

England Lions won the opening T20 by eight wickets on Sunday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
