KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC – In Wednesday’s trading session the following
reflect the movement of the JSE Indices: –
The JSE Index declined by 798.23 points (0.93%) to close at 84,954.88
points. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 1,617.77 points
(1.98%) to close at 79,901.50 points and the Jamaica Select Index declined
by 26.55 points (1.17%) to close at 2,227.67 points.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 24 stocks of which 7
advanced, 11 declined and 6 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 1,943,328 units valued at over $20.99 million.
NATIONAL COMM. BANK was the volume leader with 324,190 units (16.68%)
followed by BNS with 294,151 units (15.13%) and GLEANER with 227,784 units
(11.72%).
