DHAKA, Bangladesh, Oct 29, CMC – West Indies held the edge over Bangladesh despite a late fightback on the second day in Mirpur, where rain and bad light ended play early.
After bowling Bangladesh out for 272, West Indies reached 134 for 4, trailing by 138 runs.
Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican did the damage early for the regional side with 5 for 53, while John Campbell’s half-century helped West Indies build a solid position.
But Taijul Islam struck twice as Bangladesh claimed three late wickets to stay in the contest before the weather intervened.
