Hurricane Tomas impacted St. Vincent and the Grenadines

1 min read

Hurricane Tomas impacted St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday 30th October, 2010. Many homes sustained damages with the agricultural sector suffering the greatest loss.

A few hotels experienced minor but no structural damage. The beaches are intact and accommodation operators are completing the clearing of broken tree limbs, twigs, leaves, etc from garden areas.

Some Tourism Sites and Attractions are temporarily closed in the wake of the hurricane. Clean-up and restorative work is already on the way to have them re-opened soonest.

Local and regional airlines, and ferry service to the Grenadines continue to operate full service across the islands.
