BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Oct 13, CMC – Barbados star midfielder Thierry Gale reaffirmed his commitment to giving back to the football community with a donation of footballs to Premier League outfit Paradise Football Club, one of the clubs he proudly represented during his football journey.
The donation formed part of Gale’s Giveback Day initiative, reflecting his desire to support the development of football at the community level and give back to a club that played a pivotal role in his career.
Gale, 24, who plays for Bolton Wanderers in the English Football League Championship, was back on the island representing the national team in the CONCACAF Nations League.
The footballs were officially accepted by the club’s president Adrian Donovan and team captain Jomo Harris.
In a gesture of appreciation, the club presented Gale with a commemorative photo plaque.

Speaking on the initiative, Gale said: “It is always a special feeling to give back to a club that was part of my journey. Paradise Football Club is one of the teams I had the privilege of representing, and I understand the importance of having the right resources to train, develop and compete.
“Football has given me so much, and I believe it is important to give back wherever I can. I hope these footballs will be put to good use and help inspire the next generation of players.”
Donovan welcomed the donation, highlighting the significance of Gale’s gesture and the value of maintaining strong relationships with former players.
“On behalf of Paradise Football Club, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to Thierry Gale for remembering the club and making this contribution. Donations such as these can make a meaningful difference to our players and our day-to-day training activities. We are proud to see one of our former players giving back, and we hope his example will encourage others to continue supporting the development of football in our community,” Donovan said.
Meanwhile, Harris also expressed gratitude for the contribution.
“We are grateful to Thierry for this thoughtful gesture. As players, we know how important it is to have the equipment needed to train properly and continue improving. This donation will be beneficial to the squad, and it is encouraging to see someone who represented the club return to support its continued progress. We appreciate the gesture and wish him every success in his career,” Harris said.
