GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Oct 24 CMC – Lawrence Farnum has replaced Denesh Ramdin as West Indies captain for the Essequibo leg of the ongoing International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s World Cup.
Farnum, an ex-Guyana youth selectee, captained the West Indies Over-40s T20 side earlier this year in Pakistan.
He will replace regular skipper Ramdin, who is unavailable due to personal reasons, for their two matches in Region 2 at Anna Regina National Stadium and Joe Jagmohan Hampton Court ground.

Farnum, a left-handed batter, is upbeat that West Indies will be dominant over the next two days and leave the Cinderella County with back-to-back victories, as the top four teams will advance to the semifinals.
West Indies, who have won one of their three games so far, will clash with Canada on Saturday at the Joe Jagmohan venue, before taking on Wales at Anna Regina the next day in a day/night fixture.
The Windies were beaten by Australia and defending champions South Africa before defeating Namibia in their last outing.
